Redeemer flagellator

A traditional type of penitential device made of seagrass. It is sharp, scratchy and stings. The seagrass will degrade over time, but not before providing plenty of gratifying penitential fervour.  It has been reliably reported that piety levels in acolytes can be substantially increased by the simple expedient of soaking the Redeemer's lashes in salt water in advance of your devotions.

The handle is a french grapevine braid of leather (or cotton cord) lace. Total length 18"
