Gwynedd collar

Gwynedd is based on a Celtic bondage collar that was unearthed in an archaeological excavation on the site of a sacred druidic grove in the west of Wales in 1962.  Marks of power are etched on the pewter coloured ring, which is suspended from a crude but effective leather V.  We've updated the design only to add dome snap fastenings for ease of closure and adjustment, since we didn't feel the original bramble and acorn arrangement would be adequately robust for modern purposes.  Otherwise, this is pretty much what you might have encountered while undergoing, say, a fertility rite in a sylvan neolithic glade long, long before the Romans turned up to ruin everything.
